Agile Networks Announced As Seventh Fastest Growing Irish Technology Company in 2015

Agile Networks ranks in top ten of Deloitte Technology Fast 50 2015 awards

Agile Networks has been announced as the seventh fastest growing technology company in Ireland, at the recent 2015 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 awards.

Agile Networks, Ireland’s biggest independent integrator, designs, builds and supports IT networks across 1,500 sites that support 1.5 million end users.  Its clients include the Aviva Stadium, Dublin City University, HEAnet and 16 of the top 25 internet service providers in Ireland.

One of Ireland’s longest standing technology award contests, the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 awards are in their sixteenth year in Ireland.  Rankings within the Top 50 companies are selected based on average percentage revenue growth over four years.

Darragh Richardson, Managing Director of Agile Networks, credits the company’s disruptive approach to the industry as well its engineering talent with the company’s growth over the past four years. He said, “From the outset Agile Networks approach was to disrupt the market, providing competitive and innovative products and services that would set new standards in IT networks.  That the company has gone some way in achieving this goal is due to the engineering talent that has allowed Agile Networks develop its own Focal Engineering concept, making the company innovative and product-driven, while being customer focused.”

Cumulatively, the 2015 Fast 50 winners generated approximately €480 million in total annual revenues in 2014. The average revenue of companies featuring on the ranking was €9.5 million, while the average growth rate of the companies over the last four years was 540%.

Announcing the winners of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 programme, Joan O’Connor, Partner, Deloitte said: “Huge congratulations to the winning companies. The awards showcase the agility, innovation and strength of the industry. The winners epitomise these characteristics. What’s really encouraging is the ambition that is apparent amongst them. On average 58% of turnover amongst the winners is generated by exports. Furthermore, on average, over a quarter of turnover is spent on R&D. The winning companies are making their mark internationally and investing in their companies’ future.”

Agile Networks has reported very strong growth for 2015, with recent wins including Telcom and e-Net’s national fibredirect project. The company also received numerous awards this year, including an ICT Excellence Award for the third year in a row and the Grand Prix Winner, Services Winner and IT Winner at the 2014 BOI Startup Awards.

The company has been selected as a National Champion for Ireland at the European Business Awards for the third year also, while Darragh Richardson was a finalist in the Emerging Category of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2015 competition.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards were hosted by science and technology journalist, and founder of Whipsmart Media, Jonathan McCrea. Keynote speaker on the night was Paul Sallomi, Deloitte U.S. and Global Technology Sector Leader for Technology, Media and Telecoms.
